"Unicorn" Color Run

Although my primary focus at USciences is my studies in Occupational Therapy I am also a dedicated member to my sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon.  This weekend was our first ever "Unicorn" Run to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  This event was our version of the Color Run which has been sweeping the nation to promote healthy lifestyles.  We all woke up very early and welcomed 125 runners to our 5K located on the McNeil Athletic Fields. With the music pumping everyone up, the runners were lined up to begin the race. With a begining cheer, the runners were released onto the race course.  With each completed lap, the runners were showered with color.  At the end of the race everyone was invited to stay and celebrate completing a 5K with food from some of our favorite Philly places like Allegro's, Chipotle, Colonial's, Royal's Pizza and Sodexo (our dining hall).  Each runner also recieved a medal of completion and were invited to participate in a dance party.  The race was a huge sucsess and the sisters of DPhiE were able to donate all of the proceeds to CFF!
