Spring Break: New Orleans Style

I don't know what is a more anticipated break...Winter Break or Spring Break? Now that Spring break is only hours away, I'm going to say it has to be Spring Break. Although it's only a week, it's a nice long week of going away and possibly soaking up some sun, relaxing at home with friends and family, or making some money to last you for the rest of the semester. Or, if you want to do something completely different than the norm, why not attend the APhA2012 Annual Conference? Each year, APhA (the American Pharmacists Association) holds an annual conference throughout different major cities nationwide. Seattle was last year, Los Angeles is next year, but this year...New Orleans beat out the other options.

At this conference, student pharmacists, as we all new practitioners, and current pharmacists attend leadership meetings, talk about policies, and learn about the new and rapidly changing developments of the pharmacy world. A ton of students from other pharmacy schools attend this event, so it is a great networking event to make friends from all over the nation. So, you ask, why would I want to spend my Spring Break attending meetings? Well, it's not all about that! It's about site-seeing, breathing in the culture that New Orleans is known for, and making friends at the same time. You'll never know what it's like unless you go! So, like they say in New Orleans, "Laissex les bons temps rouler." Let the good times roll.
