Drexel University’s student led group Public Health in Action held its first ever town hall meeting Feb. 16 to broach a difficult subject — smoking on campus. University of the Sciences alumna Alicia Miller, who led the University of the Sciences campus into a smoke-free campaign, had some ideas to offer in light of these concerns. She discussed how, at its inception, the USciences campaign sent out two surveys to the students and staff of the university. The questions were aimed at finding out what opinions the University had on going smoke-free.

On February 1, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia will host the first-ever Philadelphia Science Olympiad "Build It, Study It, Learn It" Day on their campus.
The party will commence at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, in Griffith Hall of University of the Sciences, 43rd and Kingsessing, across the street from Clark Park. Admission is free.

Local director and choreographer Cathy Quigley is combatting the ignorance of endometriosis with her original show, "Female Trouble," which is now coming to Philadelphia's University of the Sciences for a special performance on Sept. 25.
Fox 29 was on campus on Monday, Sept. 16, to promote a new show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Fox's Jennaphr Frederick was there for “man-on-the-street” type interviews and handing out free food and other giveaways. Skip ahead to 2:42 to see some of our students interviewed on the street.
Over the past two years, Meghry members have performed on many local stages in the greater Philadelphia area. Just a few months ago, on April 5, they performed at the multi-cultural dance event at the University of the Sciences.

The Jubilee School in West Philadelphia held a Roundtable Discussion, led by Rep. Jim Roebuck, on Thursday, May 30 at Rosenberger Hall, University of the Sciences, 600 South 43rd Street. Students from first- to sixth-grade asked Rep. Roebuck questions about political issues that interest them.
