About Dr. Stefanacci

As an internist/geriatrician, Dr. Stefanacci has a longstanding interest and commitment to geriatric health, particularly the frail elderly and long-term care. He is the director of the University’s Institute for Geriatric Studies, which focuses squarely on the critical issues of business and policy affecting geriatric health by uniting resources to provide education and services.

As a former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Health Policy Scholar, Dr. Stefanacci brings a substantial understanding of the issues faced by seniors. Dr. Stefanacci continues to practice geriatric medicine through NewCourtland Elder Services and participates in Medicare and Medicaid policy development.

Dr. Stefanacci’s regular speaking topics include the Medicare reform issues, disease management, long-term care, and geriatric healthcare systems.

He received his BA in economics at Boston College, his medical degree and MGH from AT Still University, and his MBA from Keller. In addition, Dr. Stefanacci is a fellow of both the American Geriatric Society and College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
