PhillyBiz: USciences Named Best of Healthcare Education 2017

USciences was named Best of Healthcare Education 2017 by PhillyBiz Magazine.

Navigating the ever-changing landscape of medical care is no easy task, especially in the face of changing government regulations. But our annual Best of Health Care honorees take each step in stride. 

The new bachelor of science in neuroscience offered at University of the Sciences highlights the interdisciplinary nature of neuroscience beginning in 2017-18. Students will study the nervous system across a variety of contexts, taking courses with emphasis on the biological, behavioral, theoretical and clinical aspects of neuroscience. Combined with the breadth of faculty expertise at USciences in behavioral and biological sciences; math, physics, and statistics; pharmaceutical sciences and professional clinical programs, this is a unique program. Early and frequent research experience and the diversity of program electives gives students an edge in this competitive and growing field.

South Jersey Sports Digest: T-John Casiello of Wildwood Catholic MVP in Ireland

T-John Casiello PhB’16 led the Letterkenney Institute of Technology men’s basketball team to Ireland’s Division II college championship and earned MVP honors along the way, South Jersey Sports Digest reported. Casiello, who applied for the Victory Scholarship after playing his senior year at USciences, is studying for his master’s degree and coaching youth basketball in North-West Ireland. Coach David Pauley traveled to Ireland to cheer on his former player.

USciences Alumus Honored at Founders' Day

An innovator who has pushed the evolution of the pharmacy profession, Edgardo A. Mercadante P’79, returned to University of the Sciences in Philadelphia to accept an honorary doctor of science degree during the University’s 196th Founders’ Day Ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, The Unionville Patch reported.

Burlington County Times: Burlington County residents warm up winter with honors and good deeds

Community caring is nothing new to Marvin Samson, who was named the Humanitarian Award recipient by the Virtua Foundation. He will be formally honored at the 2016 Virtua Gala on March 5 at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. He holds five patents related to pharmaceutical manufacturing, and has served as chairman of the board of trustees of the University of the Sciences.
