Seniors Pay Less under Health-Care Reform

Dr. Richard G. Stefanacci, executive director of the Health Policy Institute of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, said everyone on Medicare will get one free visit each year to a primary care physician -- with no co-payments -- for preventive services such as screening for blood pressure, cholesterol and colon cancer.

Impact of Supreme Court Decision on Affordable Care Act

While the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) let stand the majority of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) a few key points are worth noting. Most significant perhaps in the SCOTUS opinion is that the federal expansion of Medicaid is now left at the discretion of the States meaning that perhaps some States will not move forward in expanding Medicaid to 133% of FPL although most will probably take advantage of the additional federal funding. This expansion of Medicaid highlights perhaps the biggest impact of ACA for pharmaceutical and device manufacturers.

Inquirer: The Physics of Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder"

“The story is interesting because of the whole concept of changing history, and that tiny change in the past could have enormous repercussions in the future,” said physicist Paul Halpern, who discusses the story in a Nature of Time class he teaches at the University of the Sciences. “This idea that reality is so fragile and just a very slight tweak will lead to big differences-that’s connected to chaos theory,” said Halpern, whose newest book “The Edge of the Universe” is coming out this fall.

Keene State Becoming "More of What It Is," Says Outgoing President
