One of our department’s initiatives is to raise money for and awareness of certain charitable organizations. One that we hold near and dear to our hearts is the Go4Goal Foundation (G4G). Each year we hold our annual Hoops for Humanity in honor of G4G. We more than doubled last year’s total raising $380.00 for such an amazing cause. Over the course of the past year students from the Student Recreational Committee and Campus Recreation decided to step up and make a difference in the community. More important, they wanted to make a lasting impact not just a one day volunteering event. After hours of deliberating they decided to implement a tutoring program. Through various contacts they were able to build a relationship with K.I.P.P. West Philadelphia. On a weekly basis 6 students traveled to 60th and Baltimore to tutor inner city 5th graders. The 2010 volleyball intramural championship series capped off a great season for volleyball intramurals. Youthful Safe Sets played against the veteran savvy B.I.Y.F. Safe Sets lead by Joy Mantilla and Joe Keglovits played very spirited and courageous but they could not match the stellar team play by B.I.Y.F., lead by Jordan Taormina and Andrea Cardine. B.I.Y.F. took the series 3-1. Series MVP went to Jordan Taormina whose power spikes inspired his team and eventually lead them to a stunning victory over Safe Sets. Congratulations to all Volleyball Intramural Participants. The Department of Campus Recreations thanks you for your continued participation...

These students have been instrumental with special projects such as the Student Staff Training Video, the Sports Club Program, the Femi Memorial Scholarship Fund. Unfortunately we are losing these students to graduation, clinical, and rotations. Our loss is the world’s gain. It is with great honor and pleasure to present the Staff Dedication and...

Without a legitimate field and regulation sized goals practices were limited to the recreational gym within the ARC and the confined space of the quad. In addition, the rigorous academic lives of the players sometimes made attending games that were hours away simply impossible. Nevertheless, through shear...
